If you are looking for help on how to build lean muscle mass, we are here to explain just how to do it. If you’ve been working hard at it for awhile, and not seeing the results you want to get those lean muscles, keep reading.

The ability to build a lean muscle mass is dependent on how much weight you are working with as well as the intensity you put into it. The bottom line is to have lean muscle you must put in the time and effort with the weight lifting. If you are not seeing that lean muscle yet, the question is whether or not you’re really working hard enough at it.

A lot of people believe they’re putting a lot of effort in when the truth is they’re not pushing the their limits for lifting. Stop and check out whoever is working out beside you sometime. Ask yourself if you’re putting in the same kind of efforts they are. And I’m talking about some serious effort here! That’s what is required to achieve the kind of lean muscle mass you want.

Most people make the mistake of thinking increasing their workout days and number of reps is the answer. What could happen with that is just the opposite of what you want. So people who believe they are serious about their goals will do more workouts with more effort and find they’re losing weight, but still not creating the muscle mass they’re been trying for.

Increasing the number of repetitions is not your answer. Using greater weight and pushing up the intensity level is what’s needed. So the goal you want to strive for is physically working harder, but doing it for shorter durations. To achieve the kind of lean muscle mass you want is the result of higher intensity workouts done in less time.

Take an inventory of the weight you have been lifting and then start to increase it. Are you even aware of how much weight you’re capable of lifting? You should be able to answer that question almost immediately when asked. And that answer will be your benchmark from this point forward if you want to be able to have that lean muscle mass you’re striving for.

Another thing to be aware of is what you’re eating and how you eat it. Building up lean muscle mass requires your diet contain a combination of carbohydrates, protein, and low fat. You also want to change your eating patterns from eating bigger meals less often, or actually cutting down on what you’re eating, to switching over to eating 4-6 smaller meals throughout the day.

Here are a few more important points to remember about how to build lean muscle mass. What you need to be focusing on is an increase in the amount of weight you’re working with as well as your level of intensity as you lift. This is the combination you need to achieve the desired results you want.
